SILENSAVE emerges as the culmination of our most extensive field trial to date, addressing a long-awaited requirement for rifle enthusiasts. Sound moderators, commonly referred to as silencers, have gained infamy for their susceptibility to rust over time. Despite being an indispensable asset for every stalker, a viable solution for their protection has remained elusive—until now. Gunsmiths’ anecdotes are rife with instances of valuable rifles falling victim to damage due to corrosion induced by silencers. Even though conventional wisdom suggests detaching these silencers during storage, adherence to this practice isn’t consistent. In fact, it’s a prevalent occurrence for silencers to corrode to an extent that their removal becomes a daunting task.
Enter SILENSAVE, putting these concerns to rest. This revolutionary product constitutes a simple yet efficacious chemical remedy applied directly into either end of the moderator prior to storage. The chemical formulation is meticulously designed for dispensing through a low-pressure aerosol mechanism, generating a mist within the container. This mist ensures an exquisitely fine and uniform coating on the inner surfaces and baffles of the silencer. Among its composition, it encompasses Napier’s VP90 corrosion inhibitor and other synergistic compounds. This chemical amalgam is transported by a distinct solvent that evaporates upon application, leaving behind a delicate protective layer. However, this marks merely the initial phase.
Upon the first firing subsequent to application, the intense and immediate heat instigates a bond between the chemical and the metal surfaces, reminiscent of a ceramic coating. The consistent utilization of SILENSAVE effectively thwarts the corrosion of metals. While preempting the formation of condensation within a silencer is unfeasible, the systematic application of SILENSAVE ensures that such condensation does not translate into damage. Rather, it appreciably extends the operational lifespan of any silencer type or brand. A rigorous six-year test scenario involved subjecting a pristine Jet Z moderator affixed to a Mauser MO3 to weekly use, enduring over 500 .308 rounds. Impressively, there are no discernible indications of internal corrosion, and the silencer can still be effortlessly affixed to and detached from the barrel.
